This is our Horse Skills Clinic – in it we take things right back to the beginning to check your basics and give them a good tune up.  Problems with the basics usually show up as you try to progress and revisiting the basics can sort most issues.  It is great for building confidence and learning some techniques that can keep you safe when your horse is feeling under pressure.  Great for everyone with a problem, green horse, lack of confidence or just wanting to tune up their skills and improve the relationship with their horse / pony.

Details:

Day one:
*Learn how to read and really understand your horses body language.
*Learn how to build trust and respect with your horse
*Learn techniques to help turn around a bad attitude and have your horse willing to please.
*Learn how to build the relationship with your horse that you have always wanted.
*Learn how to maintain the new relationship so you can achieve your goals, whatever they may be.

Day two:
*Learn some basic checks to tell if your horse is safe and ready to ride.
*Tune up your basics – starting, stopping, steering and transitions using various exercise to encourage softness.
*Introduce and practice a second stopping option: a safety stop, that will give you greater security and confidence in your riding.
*Work on group exercises designed to help you and your horse be more comfortable riding in group settings such as trekking and at shows.

Times: 10.00am to 4.30pm each day
Cost: $405 for both days, $175 for one day and $50 a day for auditors.
